Terms of Office
Regional Representatives All Regional Representatives’ schools are selected at the state conference. The elected schools are responsible for selecting the representatives and notifying the Executive Director by December 15. The two-year term will begin on January 1 and end on January 31 of the year following the second full year. Ex: January 1, 2012-January 31, 2014 District Directors Each district will select their director in the manner of their choosing based on their own constitution. Their term of office shall be for three years commencing on July 1 and ending June 30 three years later. Vacancies shall be filled by the Executive Director and shall last until the next state or district conference meeting of advisors. State President/President-Elect Following the selection of a host school for the state conference, the host school will be expected to follow the guidelines in the PASC Handbook in naming a President-elect. On January 1 of the year in which their school will host the state conference, that individual will become the State President and will serve during that calendar year. Executive Director The PASC Executive Director will be elected for the three year term. The election by a vote of the majority of the Executive Board will take place at the August Board Meeting. The Executive Director’s term will begin on the following January 1. The present term will end on December 31, 2012. Assistant Executive Director The term of the Assistant Executive Director will be for a three year. Any District Director or adult Executive Board member is eligible to hold this position. The position will be filled by an election by the majority of the Executive Board for a three year term at their August meeting to coincide with the term of the Executive Director. The present term will end on December 31, 2013. Membership Coordinator The term of the Membership Coordinator will be for three years. Any individual is eligible to hold this position. The position will be filled based on an application process that begins with an advertisement in PASC NEWS in March and May, is followed by submission of application by July 1 and is filled following an interview by the Constitution/Policy Committee in August, and a vote by a majority of the Executive Board. The present term ends on December 31, 2013. Middle Level Coordinator The term of the Middle Level Coordinator will be for three years. Any individual is eligible to hold this position. The position will be filled based on an application process that begins with an advertisement in PASC Newsin September and January, is followed by submission of application by March 1 and is filled following an interview by the Middle Level Committee, and a vote by a majority of the Executive Board. The present term will end on June 30, 2012. Publications Coordinator The term of the Publications Coordinator will be for three years. Any individual is eligible to hold this position. The position will be filled based on an application process that begins with an advertisement in PASC News in September and January, is followed by submission of application by March 1, and is filled following an interview by the Publications Committee, and a vote by the majority of the Executive Board. The present term will end on June 30, 2008. (Now on hold with PASC NEWS editor.) Treasurer The term of the Treasurer will be for three years. Any individual is eligible to hold this position. The position will be filled based on an application process that begins with an advertisement in PASC NEWS in March and May, is followed by submission of application by July 1 and is filled following an interview by the Constitution/Policy Committee in August, and a vote by a majority of the Executive Board. The present term ends on December 31, 2013. Trip Coordinator The term of the PASC Trip Coordinator will be for two years. Any individual is eligible to hold this position. The position is open at the August Executive Board meeting. The position will be filled based on recommendations of the NASC Relations Committee and a vote by a majority of the Executive Board. The present term will end on December 31, 2013. Workshop Registrar The term of the Workshop Registrar will be for three years. It is a clerical position appointed by the Executive Director at the annual August Executive Board meeting. The present term will end on December 31, 2012. Web Page Coordinator The term of the Website Coordinator will be for three years. Any individual is eligible to hold this position. The position will be filled based on an application process that begins with an advertisement in PASC News in September and January, is followed by submission of application by March 1 and is filled following an interview by the Publications Committee, and a vote by a majority of the Executive Board.
